Paul (T-Bo) Ragan Gardner, 91, passed away peacefully and surrounded by his family on May 19, 2025, at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock. Paul was born on July 18, 1933, to Monroe and Marie Ragan Gardner.
Paul leaves behind his wife of 65 years Billie Jo Mommsen Gardner, children Debbie (Jeff) Roper of Plumerville, Diane (Jeff) Hornbeck of Big Flat, Rhonda (Steve) Harris of DeWitt, Paula Snyder (Scott Leibrock) of DeWitt, and Kristi (Sam) Jenkins od Earle. Grandchildren Scott (Jessica) Roper of Maumelle, Jake (Brittany) Roper of Plumerville, Tyler (Hannah Turner) Hopkins of Dewitt, Taylor (Jennifer) Hopkins of Grant, TN, Jessica Harris of DeWitt, Bradlee (Samantha Keaton) Harris of DeWitt, Jace and Derek Harris of DeWitt, Ragan (Britt) Harris of Kennett, MO, Kanton Gardner of Joneaboro, Kaitlyn (Taelor) Clark of Hamburg. Great grandchildren Hudson Paul and Darcy Roper of Plumerville, Adeline and Luke Roper of Maumelle, Bennett Hopkins of DeWitt, Chelsey and Bryce Vinsett of DeWitt, Blake Salter of DeWitt, Madison Harris of Jonesboro, Henry Paul of Kennett, MO, and Kayne Oglesby of Hamburg. Brother-in-law Paul (Sue) Williams of Jacksonville, FL and his faithful pup, Booger.
Greeting him in Heaven are his parents, sister June (Charlie) Falls, brother Donald (Betty Jo) Gardner, sister Mary Ann Williams, and his faithful companion, LuLu.
Paul was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church in DeWitt. He served his country in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Picuda. Paul owned Gardner Heating & Air in DeWitt for 40 plus years. Everyone who knew Paul saw his love for his garden, his chickens and growing vegetables for the Arkansas County Farmers Market.
Visitation will be Wednesday, May 21 from 5:00-6:00 at Essex Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10:00 Thursday, May 22 at St. Luke Lutheran Church. Burial will follow in Crocketts Bluff Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Luke Lutheran Church, 903 E. 2nd St., DeWitt, AR 72042.
