Max McDonald, 92
1932-2025

Mr. Max McDonald went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ early in the morning on May 19, 2025. Max was born in Searcy, Arkansas on May 28, 1932, to the late E.L. and Myrtle Curtis McDonald. He was the last survivor of a family of 12 siblings.

Max was a member of the First Assembly of God in Searcy and loved going to Church. He was known for high Christian principles and excellent work ethic. He also loved having a good time with his family and close friends, he went on day adventures with. Max worked in the mobile home business all his life, whether transporting, dispatching, trucks, selling or managing his mobile home park. The job he loved most was serving his hometown community of Kensett as Mayor for a total of 14 years.

In addition to his parents and siblings, Max was preceded in death by his wife Sammie, two daughters Debra Gauthier and Nancy Piercy. He is survived by two sons, Clifford (Rebecca) and Richard (Darlene). His grandchildren include Charlotte Fox (Keith), Tracy Breeden (Anthony), Caleb McDonald (Veronica), Corri Chism (Alan), Leandra Crook (Todd), and five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews and a multitude of friends.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at Cole Funeral Home in Kensett. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 23, 2025, at Searcy First Assembly of God, with interment following in Kensett Cemetery.

We would like to offer a special thanks to Rhonda and Kaci of Searcy Hospice Homecare, Tracy Breeden, Shelia Sarringar, Teresa Lamb and Vickie Bird for helping with his wish to stay in his home until his passing.

Pallbearers will be Anthony Breeden, Todd Crook, Randall Taylor, Denton McDonald, Keith Fox and Keith Eric Fox.
