Mary Elizabeth Jarrett, 65, of McGehee, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2026, at McGehee Hospital. She was born on May 12, 1960, to the late George Parum and Mable Fields. Mary was a devoted woman of the Pentecostal faith whose life was marked by kindness, faith, and love for her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Sammy Jarrett; and her sons, Joshua Jarrett and Billy Don Broyles.
Mary is survived by her sons, Sammy Joe Jarrett II and his wife, Ritmary, of Kaufman, Texas, and Caleb Reeves of McGehee; her daughters, Delina Courtney of Monticello and Dehra Kindrix of Dumas; her daughter-in-law, Angel Broyles of McGehee; her brother, Charles Whitney of Houston, Texas; her sister, Sharon Dewy of Little Rock; eighteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Visitation will be held Friday, May 15, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Chapel, with funeral services following at 11:00 a.m.
Cremation arrangements are made by Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service of McGehee, Arkansas.
