1969-2025
Laura Musgrove Sparks, 55, of White Hall, was an amazing wife, mother and grandmother who fought for her own life while serving others through her church and through Casting for Recovery.
She passed away Saturday, March 15, 2025 in Little Rock.
Laura was born June 2, 1969 in Albany, Georgia, daughter of Earl DeLeon Musgrove and Susan Rebecca Noble Musgrove.
She moved to Arkansas at a young age and graduated from Pine Bluff High School in 1987. Laura earned her Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Central Arkansas in 1991.
Laura served students through the Arkansas River Education Coop and Jenkins Memorial Center, striving to make sure special education students had the services they needed and that the teachers in our surrounding districts had the resources needed to serve those students to the best of their ability. Most recently, she worked at MK Distributors as an administrative assistant.
She was a passionate member of New Life Church of Pine Bluff, where she was known for making people feel welcome.
Laura’s passions, after family, church and fighting cancer, included photography and arts and crafts. She loved to make thank you cards and invitations while also making sure every picture taken, even a selfie, was absolutely perfect.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Lee Noble Musgrove; and sister, Lisa Lynn Musgrove.
Survivors include her loving husband, Russell Turner “Russ” Sparks; son, Turner Sparks (Adrienne); daughter, Leighton Sparks (Ryan Allbright); two brothers, Tem Musgrove (Donna Compton) and Brent Musgrove; grandson, Lincoln Sparks; bonus mother, Ann Buckhalter; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will start at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 22, 2025 at New Life Church in Pine Bluff with a memorial service to follow at 11:00 a.m. with Brother Matt Mosler officiating by Robinson and Fuller White Hall Funeral Chapel (online register: www.RobinsonFuller.com).
