1936-2026
Larry T. Smith, age 89, of Pine Bluff, died Thursday, January 8, 2026.
A lifelong resident of the Pine Bluff area, he was born September 19, 1936 to the late Buster Bryant Smith and Vara Ailene Fielding Smith. He was a graduate of Watson Chapel High School.
For over 40 years, he worked for Dierks Paper Mill (later Weyerhaeuser and Gaylord) as a digestor operator.
Mr. Smith was a member of Salem Missionary Baptist Church and served in the Arkansas National Guard at Grider Field for several years in the 1950’s.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Jolene Francis Smith; and a brother, Robert Stanley Smith.
Survivors include two sons, Dennis Glenn Smith (Michelle) and Lee Thomas Smith; a daughter, Susan Smith (Bonnie Draper); three grandchildren, Joshua Wade Smith (Sheri), Adrienne Rushing (Tim), and Hannah Edwards (Phillip); and seven grandchildren.
No services are planned at this time. Arrangements are by Robinson & Fuller.
