Larry Eugene Culpepper, 77
1947-2025

Larry Eugene Culpepper of Sheridan, Arkansas was born December 22, 1947 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas the son of the late V.H. and Frances Brown Culpepper.

He died on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at John L. McClellan’s Veteran Hospital in Little Rock at the age of 77.

He was a member of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Sheridan, but spent the last few years watching VTN and studying his Bible.

He was a Sheridan High School graduate, Class of 1967, an all-conference running back and # 20 for the Yellowjackets.

Larry served his country for 2 years in the United States Army, stationed in Panama. He was an industrial painter by trade, served many years as the business agent for the IBPAT Local Union #424 in Little Rock. He ended his career as the owner of Land L Painting with his buddy Larry Foshee. After retiring, he enjoyed gardening, riding around the farm on his four wheeler, tearing up stuff on his tractor and having too many dogs.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Harry Culpepper and Cody Culpepper.

Survivors: son, Dennis Culpepper of Sheridan; brothers, Don Culpepper of Sheridan, Kenneth Culpepper of Tyler, Texas, Chris Culpepper of Hot Springs; sister, Laura Jane Culpepper of Magnolia, Texas. He was PePaw to two granddaughters, Caitlyn and Carly Culpepper both of Sheridan.

Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, May 23, 2025 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with Bro. Michael Walton officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 until service time. Burial will follow at Center Grove Cemetery near Sheridan.

Pallbearers are Nelson Mears, Larry Mears, David Marsh, Kenny Oakley, Corbin Culpepper and Zach Whitaker.
