Kenneth Simmons, born on December 24, 1939, in Providence, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2025, in Judsonia, Arkansas. Kenneth lived a life marked by dedication and passion, working as a truck driver for the railroad—a career he cherished deeply.
During his earlier years, Kenneth served in the Army, where he exemplified the values of honor and commitment. He brought this same spirit to his family and community, nurturing a love for music, travel, and history that enriched his life and those around him.
Kenneth was a beloved father to his children, Nancy Wilkins (Daniel), Thomas Simmons (Melissa), Alice Mumma (Brent), Steven Barnes (Kim), and John Barnes (Jammie). He took great pride in being surrounded by his many grandchildren and great grandchildren, who were a source of joy and pride throughout his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings, Marvin, T.J., and A.E. Simmons.
Visitation will be held on May 14, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Cole Funeral Home, located at 111 Wilbur D Mills Ave, Kensett, AR 72082. A graveside service will take place on May 15, 2025, beginning at 10:00 AM at Providence Cemetery, situated at 212 Providence Road, Judsonia, AR 72081. Kenneth's family invites all who knew and loved him to join together to celebrate his remarkable life and contributions to those around him.
