Keith Bogy, 59
1966-2025

Keith Bogy, age 59, of Pine Bluff, passed away Thursday, December 25, 2025.

A lifelong resident of Pine Bluff, he was born May 25, 1966 to Robert K. “Pete” Bogy and the late Joyce Kay Palmer Bogy. Keith was a proud 1984 graduate of Watson Chapel High School and was very active in the planning of his class’ 40th reunion.

Keith was a hard worker, from teenage years on throughout his life. He worked for 38 years at Suzano Paper Mill (formerly International Paper), where he was a control room operator in the Powerhouse.

No matter what he was doing, Keith always gave 110%. Whether it was serving as president of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) local chapter, or as president of the Oakleaf Hunting Club. He was an avid deer hunter and fisherman and enjoyed the lake and going to the beach. His and Gayla’s first date was to go fishing. He loved taking her fishing. They also kept a garden every year and enjoyed canning vegetables.

He was a member of Providence Missionary Baptist Church and attended Sulphur Springs Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife and best friend, Gayla Staton Bogy, whom he married on April 20, 2017; his father, Robert K. “Pete” Bogy; his son, Trent Bogy (fiancé Bailee Bibb); his sister, Donna Steck (Brad); bonus sons, John Horn (Kaci) and Josh Horn (Taron); his granddaughters (who called him Papa K.), Stormi Horn and Joli Horn; along with a host of friends.

Keith’s visitation will begin Monday, December 29, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Robinson & Fuller White Hall Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Brother Mike Holcomb officiating. Burial will be in Flat Bayou Cemetery at Altheimer.
