1948-2025
Karen Louise Heald Bartz, age 76 of Monticello, AR passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at The Woods Nursing and Rehabilitation in Monticello. She was born July 25, 1948, in Wessington Springs, SD to the late Marion Freeman Heald and Martha Deenendall Heald.
She was the widow of Ronald Bartz, a retired waitress, homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Karen loved collecting coffee mugs, fishing, camping and spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded by siblings, Sonya, Kathy, Sean, Fabian and Kevin.
She is survived by four sons, Jason Lee Nussbaumer of Fountain Hill, Jeff Nussbaumer of Fountain Hill, Justin Lynn Nussbaumer of Forney, TX and Jesse Steven McKee and wife Louise Diane of Joshua, TX; three sisters, Colleen, Donna and Yvonne; four brothers, Mark, Vance, Jarred and Scott; eight grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
There will be a memorial service at a later date.
