Judy Louise Emerson Conley, 77
1948-2026

With heavy hearts and deep love, we announce the passing of Judy Louise Conley, of DeWitt, Arkansas, on April 10, 2026.
Judy was born on July 17, 1948, in DeWitt, Arkansas, to Elbert and Ella Mae Emerson. She dedicated the majority of her life to serving others as a nurse, a calling she embraced with compassion and grace. Judy especially cherished her years at DeWitt Hospital, where she formed lifelong friendships and touched countless lives with her kindness and care.

Judy was the heart of her family—a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was known for her deep and unwavering love for her family, especially her grandchildren and her great-grandson who all held a very special place in her heart. To those who knew and loved her, she was affectionately known as “JuJu,” a name that carried warmth, comfort, and unconditional love.

She found joy in the simple, meaningful moments of life—watching her favorite crime shows, preparing her grandchildren’s favorite meals whenever they had a craving, and spending treasured time with her beloved husband, Garland. Above all else, Judy’s greatest joy and priority was her family, and she poured her heart into loving them well.

Judy is lovingly survived by her devoted husband of 57 years, Garland Conley; her daughter, Stephanie (Craig) Pinson; her grandchildren, Meg (Trent) McCarley, Max, Cooper, Natalie, and Conley Pinson; her cherished great-grandson, Myles McCarley; and her brother Jim (Betty) Emerson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved in-laws, brothers, Joe Emerson and John Emerson, and her daughter and son in law, Richard and RayLyn Boyd, whom we know welcomed her with open arms.

A visitation will be held on Friday, April 17, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Essex Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to DeWitt Hospital, P.O. Box 32, DeWitt, AR 72042.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at Baptist Hospital for their care, as well as to the many family members and friends who have shown such love and support during this time.

Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that JuJu is at peace, and her love will live on in each of us forever.
