1958-2025
Mr. John Wesley Jones, affectionately known as PeeWee, was born October 9, 1958 to the late Eddie Jones and Bessie Mae Adam-Jones. Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ saw fit to call PeeWee home in the morning hours of May 9, 2025, at Baptist Health of Little Rock, Arkansas, surrounded by his loved ones.
PeeWee accepted Christ and was a member of the Allen Temple Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Reverend Gilbert Byrd, Jr. PeeWee united in Holy Matrimony to Mrs. Cheryl Lynn Earvine on July 1, 2017, and they were inseparable.
PeeWee loved his family, and one of the greatest joys of his life was seeing his grandson, David Walker, drafted into the NFL by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. However, as we all know, he was a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan. In his spare time, you could often find PeeWee picking up cans or watching basketball or football.
PeeWee will be reunited with loved ones who have gone before him - his aforementioned parents, two brothers Jimmy “Joe” Bell and Henry “Bull” Jones, and one sister Vera Terry.
Although Peewee is no longer with us in the flesh, his legacy and memories will live on in the hearts of those that he leaves behind - his wife Cheryl Jones; four daughters Lucille (Johnell) Graham, Cynthia (Kevin) Conway, Angela (Marcus) Bradley, and Charneka Shay Jones, who was also his caregiver; three sons Charles (Annie) Hogan, Brent (Jaclyn) Iverson, and Dion (Mallory) Earvine; two sisters Lillie McCoy and Cathryn Childress; four brothers Eddie (Nancy) Jones, John H. (Octavia) Jones, Charles E. (Brenda) Jones, and Joseph Jones; fifteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
