Jo Ann Smallwood Wells 85 of Dumas, Arkansas passed away May 7, 2025, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. She was born September 2, 1939, in Lincoln County to the late Otis Smallwood and Elois Howerton Smallwood. She was preceded in death by her husband Woodrow “Woody” Wells, one brother Charles Smallwood and a sister Emma Lee Sparks. Jo Ann was of Baptist faith.
Jo Ann and her husband owned Catfish Kitchen for 30 years before retiring. She loved her family very much.
Survived by one son Danny (Nancy) Wells of Dumas, AR and two daughters Barbara Stewart of Conway, AR, Dana (Ken) Jones of Dumas, AR, two brothers Travis Smallwood of Haughton, LA, Kenneth Smallwood of Dumas, AR, one sister Jean Jones of Dumas, AR, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday, May 9, 2025, from 10:00-11:00 am with service to follow at 11:00am both at Abundant Life Worship Center, Dumas, AR with Rev. Bill McGinnis officiating with burial at Dark Corner Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Folds of Honor or Dark Corner Cemetery.
