Gretchen Lyn Price, age 33, entered the kingdom of Heaven on Sunday, February 1, 2026. She was born on May 14, 1992, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, where she was raised and spent her childhood.
Gretchen graduated from Pine Bluff High School in 2010. She attended Arkansas Girls State and later returned to the program as a staff member, faithfully serving Arkansas Girls State for ten years, mentoring young women and investing in the next generation of leaders.
She attended the University of Central Arkansas, earning a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education—an education that perfectly reflected her compassionate spirit and love for children.
For eight years, Gretchen served as a dedicated teacher, forming deep and lasting bonds with her students. She loved each child wholeheartedly, leaving an indelible mark on their lives and the families she served. Teaching was more than a profession to her; it was a calling lived out daily through patience, kindness, and joy.
Gretchen was a devoted member of Second Baptist Church in Conway, where she served on the women’s ministry team and treasured time spent in her small group. Her faith guided her life and was evident in her selfless service and genuine care for others.
She is survived by her parents, Mark and Lisa Price of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; her twin sister, Allison Price of Conway, Arkansas; her sister and brother-in-law, Katherine and Robert Marchand of Harrisonburg, Virginia; and her grandmother, Carol Price of Little Rock, Arkansas. She is also lovingly remembered by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Ray Price, and her maternal grandparents Shirley and John Turley.
Gretchen will be remembered for her servant heart, steady faith, and the countless lives she touched through teaching, mentorship, and love. Her legacy lives on in the children she taught, the young women she guided, and the many people who were better for having known her.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Second Baptist Church in Conway. Her Memorial Service will be on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m., also at Second Baptist Church. Private burial will be in Graceland Cemetery at Pine Bluff.
