Geneva Bailey Taylor, 93
1931-2025

Geneva Grace Bailey Taylor of Sheridan, Arkansas was born July 4th, 1931 in Des. Arc, Arkansas the daughter of the late Andrew H. Bailey and Delia Mae Osburn. She was a devout Christian and member of Little Creek Missionary Baptist Church where she served as treasurer of the ladies Sunday school class, the Golden Ladies. She married the late Kenneth Taylor in 1955. She was a graduate of McCroy High School, employed at Thompson Supermarket in McCroy. She was also an employee at the Safeway Store in Pine Bluff, Arkansas as well as the United States Postal Service in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. She also served as the bookkeeper for Taylor’s Auto Electric. She enjoyed attending church as well as gardening.

Ms. Taylor died at home surrounded by family on March 13th, 2025 at the age of 93.

In addition to her father and mother, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Kenneth Taylor, as well as hosts of brothers and sisters.

Survivors: Son, Kevin Taylor (Penny) of Sheridan; daughter, Linda Rhoden (Phillip) of Sheridan; Grandchildren, Macie Taylor, Jason (Lisa) Rhoden, Jacob Rhoden; Step-Grandchildren, Cain Nattin, Micah Robinson, and Noah Robinson; and Great-Great Grandchildren, Haven Rhoden and Lane Rhoden.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at the Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan, with Bro. Rickey Poynor, Bro. Brent Williams and Cain Nattin officiating. Burial will follow in Lost Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, 6:00-8:00 P.M.

Serving as pallbearers are Roy Wayne Fleming, Robin Carter, Jason Rhoden, Jacob Rhoden, Micah Robinson, and Noah Robinson. Honorary pallbearers are Bill Fiser, Dennis Rogers, Jerry Cotton, Bob Adams, Tony Clark, Dugan Roberts, and Dennis Corley.

Memorials may be made to Little Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Sheridan.
