1929-2025
Eugene Boyd Clark, 96, passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2025. He was born January 5, 1929, in Star City to Sammie Benjamin and Margaret Ella Story Clark and was married to Helen Mildred Bratton Clark for 60 years.
Eugene dedicated many years to Alice-Sidney Farms and Yocum Farms. He was also an active member and deacon of Jerome Baptist Church for several decades. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brothers George, Chester, Gerald, and Billy, sisters Irene Clark, Mary Masters, Helen Hollis, and Betty Mae Faulkner, daughter-in-law Janet Clark, son-in-law Eddie Downing, and great grandson Greyson Clark.
He is survived by David and Becky Clark of Lake Village, Mary Linda Clark Downing of Rogers, Randy and Tracey Clark of Austin, Danny and Tammy Clark of Dermott, 14 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren, his brother Donald Clark of Hammond, LA, his sister Bonnie Clark Murray of Humble, TX, and special friend Barbara Greenway of Monticello.
Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee will host visitation at 12:00pm followed by a memorial service at 2:00pm Wednesday, April 30, 2025. Burial will follow at Dermott Cemetery.
