1940-2025
Earnett Gaither was born July 4, 1940 to the late Reverend Thomas Issac “T.I.” and Sarah Chambers Gaither in Crocketts Bluff, Arkansas.
He accepted Christ at an early age and united with St. Olive Baptist Church in DeWitt, Arkansas, under the leadership of Reverend W.W. Walker. He graduated from Immanual High School in Almyra, Arkansas.
Brother Gaither later married Mary Lee Hollinger, and to this union, three children were born: Carol, Mark, and Joyce. On May 31, 2008, he married Karen Lee Holt and fathered two more children Deon and Kentrall.
Brother Gaither was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He loved his family dearly and was a great inspiration to his grandchildren. He was a dedicated truck driver, a profession he truly enjoyed.
In his later years, Brother Gaither reunited with First Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor C.E. Hawkins, Sr., where he served as a faithful member. A former farmer, he eventually began a long and dedicated career as a truck driver, a role he held for over twenty years. He cherished spending time with his family and remained active in both his work and home life until his health began to decline.
Brother Gaither was preceded in death by his father and mother Thomas and Sarah Gaither; sisters Mae Lene King, Ersalene Hodge, Hazel Callahan, Rosezine Brown, Katherine Stigger, Dessie Moore, and Betty Austin; and daughter Joyce Racy.
Brother Gaither leaves to cherish his memory his wife Karen Gaither; sons Courtney Gaither (Sarah), Mark Gaither (Retha), Kentrall Powell, and Deon Holt; daughter Carol Scott (Dennis); and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
He was loved by many and will be missed tremendously!
