1941-2024
Earle McDaniel, 83 of Monticello, passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at his home. He was born September 8, 1941 in Dillon, SC to the late Jasper and Ruby Barrineau McDaniel. He was a member of Rose Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Monticello, was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp and was a retired machinist for General Electric. He was a 1960 graduate of Dillon High School and a graduate of Florence Darlington Technical College. He enjoyed reading, bird watching, enjoyed talking to family, and loved watching Gunsmoke.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Malloy McDaniel; three brothers, Marion, Bill and Kam; and three sisters, Dora, Gladyce and Jean.
Survivors include two sons, Tim (Madeline) McDaniel of Monticello and Rob (Missy) McDaniel of Florence, SC; a daughter, Angela (Mitch) Hodge of Goode, VA; step-daughter, June (Donald) Evans of Bennettsville, SC; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many close friends and extended family.
