Phillip Earl Gober, 89, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, passed away, Thursday, May 8, 2025.

Born February 27, 1936, in Arkansas City, Arkansas, Earl, as he was commonly known, was a son of the late Joseph L. Gober & Lottie Bailey Gober.

He was a proud veteran of the United States Army having served during the Korean war.

Earl retired as Pulp Mill Supervisor from International Paper Company in 1994 after 36 years of service.

He enjoyed playing bass guitar and rooting for the Razorbacks, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family & friends.

In addition to his parents, Earl was preceded in death by six siblings, James E. Gober, Mildred Audrey Tullos-Lorenzo, A. Leroy Gober, Jarvis “Red” Gober, J.L. Gober & Curtis C. Gober.

He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Joyce Foshee Gober, to whom he was married, August 5th, 1958; two sons, Phillip L. Gober (Deana) and David Gober (Kim); grandsons, Zac & Jordan; and many other loving family & friends.

Funeral Services will be Wednesday, May 14, 2025, 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son, 807 S. Cherry St. Pine Bluff, AR 71601, with Brother Don Borland officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery with military honors.

The family will receive guests Tuesday evening from 6-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home .
