Donald Ray Bailey, 85, of Greenwood, LA, formally from Star City, AR passed away Monday, January 26, 2026, at Willis Knighton Hospital in Shreveport, LA. He was born May 19, 1940, in Paris, AR to the late Daniel and Hazel Childress Bailey.
Donald was of the Baptist faith. He was a maintenance supervisor at Voith, a past member of American Legion post 14 of Shreveport, LA, and enjoyed spending time with his family.
Also preceding him death were one son, Jimmy Bailey and a brother, Thomas Bailey.
Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years, Joyce Bailey of Greenwood, LA, one son, Steven Ray Bailey (Monacal) of Greenwood, LA, three brothers; Gary Bailey (Debbie) of Hot Springs, AR, Johnny Bailey of Little Rock, AR, and Bob Bailey (Louise) of Star City, AR, two sisters; Alice Courtney (Harry) of Pensacola, FL, and Margaret Shultz of Pine Bluff, one grandchild, Matthew Bailey (Michelle) and three great grandchildren; Jimi Bailey, Brody Cooper, and Logan Bailey.
Visitation will be held Monday, February 2, 2026, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Griffin Funeral Service. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM with Bro. Kevin Arinder officiating. Burial will be at Hickory Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers are Danny Henley, Dennis Wilson, Stewart Knighton, Dick Hendricks, Jeff Hollenshend, and Ricky Smith.
