1950-2025
Katheryn Dianne Bolen McGehee, 75, of Star City, passed away December 5, 2025, at her home surrounded by family. She was born April 20, 1950, in Pine Bluff to the late Luther and Edna Bolen.
Dianne was a devoted Christian woman who loved God, her family, and her church with her whole heart. She was a longtime member of Crigler Missionary Baptist Church, where she faithfully served as a Sunday School teacher. She was a 1969 graduate of Glendale High School and was proud to have played basketball during her school years. She loved cheering on Arkansas Razorback basketball and rarely missed a game.
She spent her life caring for others—raising her children, loving on her grandchildren, and serving alongside her church family. Dianne enjoyed crafting of all kinds, sewing, and creating handmade gifts that were always made with love. She cherished the simple joys of farm life and found peace in the work of her hands. More than anything, she loved watching her grandchildren in anything they did—ballgames, school events, or simply playing in the yard. Being present for them brought her endless joy.
Dianne was a loving and nurturing mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She leaves behind a legacy rooted in faith, kindness, and devotion.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Tommy McGehee; a son, Jerry Carter McGehee; and a brother, Mitchell Bolen. She is survived by her children: Michael McGehee of Princeton, Texas; and Kim (Donny) Dreher of Star City. She also leaves behind four grandchildren: Asher Lanehart, Karoline Lanehart, Keira Dreher, and Brynn Dreher; six brothers and four sisters: Mary (Bill) Davidson, Star City; David (Mary) Bolen, Star City; Linda (James) Calhoun, Arkadelphia; Jerry (Dianne) Bolen, Pine Bluff; Barry Bolen, Pine Bluff; Rickey (Brenda) Bolen, Star City; Randy (Trudie) Bolen, Star City; Joanne Bolen Waggoner, Greenbrier; Shelia Bolen Foscue, Greenbrier; Scott (Elizabeth) Bolen, Chidester; and a host of extended family and loved ones who will forever cherish her memory.
