Denise Gay York, age 62, of Sheridan, passed away Thursday, February 12, 2026 at her home.
She was born on November 29, 1963 in Huntington, WV, a daughter of Mrs. Carolyn Carroll Stone and the late Omar Bradley Stepp. She was reared and educated at Benton and a graduate of Benton High School.
She was a longtime employee of Scott Systems and was a Christian.
In addition to her mother, survivors include her husband, Bobby D. York; three brothers, Norvell Stepp, Timothy Stepp, and Dakota Stepp; a sister, Angie Newton; two stepchildren, Rebecca York and David York; two grandchildren, Cody York and Lauren Graves; three great-grandchildren; and two nieces, Annie Stepp and Samantha Dendor.
Private services will be held.
