1982-2025
Darrius Tyree Douglas was born on June 17, 1982, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, to the union of Melvin and Gwendolyn Douglas. He peacefully transitioned from this earthly life to eternal rest on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, surrounded by love and comfort.
At an early age, Darrius accepted Christ at Kindling Star Missionary Baptist Church and later united with New St. Hurricane Baptist Church. He received his formal education at Gould High School. Darrius was known for his infectious smile and free-spirited nature, always bringing joy to those around him. He found happiness in singing in the choir, playing cards, sharing laughter through jokes, taking photos, and creating lasting memories with family and friends.
Darrius leaves to cherish his loving memory his mother, Gwendolyn Douglas of Louisville, Kentucky; his father, Melvin (Doris) Douglas Sr. of Grady, Arkansas; his daughter, Jada Pryor of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; his son, Darrius Tyree Douglas Jr. of Little Rock, Arkansas; one brother, Melvin Douglas Jr.; three sisters, Kimberly Robertson, Lakesha Douglas, and Shawnetta Benjamin, all of Louisville, Kentucky; two nieces, eight nephews, and a host of other relatives and dear friends.
