Alisa Alexander Jones, 63
1962-2026

Alisa Alexander Jones, 63, of Star City, was a salt of the Earth, loving wife, mother and grandmother who deeply loved her family and Alabama football.

She passed away Monday, January 26, 2026, in Little Rock.

Alisa was born on September 14, 1962, in Jasper, Alabama, daughter of Jerry R. and Charlotte Smith Alexander.

She was reared and received her early education in Alabama, graduating from Curry High School. She earned her associate’s degree from Walker College in Jasper, Alabama and her bachelor’s degree from the University of Montevallo in Alabama.

Alisa married Michael Jones June 5, 1987, in Jasper, Alabama and Alisa worked in education for nine years before starting her family.

Once her daughter, Ashton, was born, Alisa devoted her life to her family.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Alexander; and brother, Chris Alexander.

Survivors include her husband, Michael Jones of Star City; daughter, Ashton Reed (Charles) of Star City; granddaughter, Celia Reed; mother, Charlotte Alexander of Jasper, Alabama; sister, Lynn Jetton (Frankie); and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, January 29, 2026, in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with the service starting at 2:00 p.m. with Brother Feral West officiating. She will be buried at a later date with her family in Alabama.
