A Smackover man was killed in a one-vehicle accident in rural Dallas County Tuesday afternoon.
According to a preliminary report, Kevin S. Dore, 67, was eastbound on Arkansas Highway 8 when the 2007 Buick he was driving failed to negotiate a right-hand curve, left the roadway on the right side and struck two trees before coming to rest.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The death was the 175th so far this year on the state’s highways.
