After being in limbo since he was “removed from leadership responsibilities” by soon-to-be former Superintendent Jennifer Barbaree last October, sources inside the Pine Bluff School District Board have told Deltaplex News that Head Football Coach Michael Williams will be reinstated to full duties as early as tonight. Those sources have told us that the Interim Superintendent Phillip Carlock will be given a directive by the board to reinstate Williams at a special meeting of the board tonight at 6. Williams was offered a new contract for 26-27 back in May for the next school year, while remaining on paid administrative leave. A unanimous vote was held on May 28th. Williams had sued the board and Barbaree in federal court. The meeting will be held tonight at 6 in the Jordan-Chanay Building at 1215 Pullen Avenue. Deltaplex News will continue to update this story.
