Wednesday is United Way Day on Oldies 1013 and on the day before Thanksgiving, Leslie Dorn, the executive director of the United Way for Southeast Arkansas said partner agencies were busy getting ready for the holidays.
Dorn was joined by Glen Dampier of Pactiv Evergreen Packaging and Dorn said that company contributes almost $300[,0000 to the United Way.
Morning show host Greg Horne asked Dampier how the company goes about getting employees to contribute and he said this.
He said of the nearly 800 employees the company has, about 200 of them are fair-share gives, contributing one-percent of their paychecks to United Way.
