Dr. John Proctor has announced his intent to run for the Pine Bluff City Council, Ward 1 in a letter to the community. That announcement letter is as follows:
“Growing into a man in this great city of Pine Bluff, graduating from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, and remaining in Pine Bluff, AR my entire adult life, I would like to announce my intention to run for Pine Bluff City Council, Ward 1.
I have been in Pine Bluff for over 20 years now and I have always had a passion to serve. Whether picking up trash, shoveling snow from roadways, or volunteering my time, servicing has always been a major part of who I am. Now it is time for me to take another step, for Pine Bluff, for the community, and for Ward 1.
Currently serving as Director of Student Recruitment at Southeast Arkansas College, my heart has always been to uplift the community through education, motivation, and being an example. As a published author and motivational speaker, I possess the power to relate to all generations. My energy and passion speak for itself. I do not only want to be the voice of Ward 1, but the beacon for change as this great city continues to move forward.
