Jefferson County 4-H, along with several other counties and the state recently received a grant from the National 4-H Council and on Wednesday, Pia Woods, the Executive Director of 4-H for the county told Deltaplex News what the grant is for.
Woods and Leslie Dorn, Executive Director of the United Way for Southeast Arkansas were guests on the Oldies 101.3 morning show.
Woods said five teenagers have been recruited and have been practicing since last July as they prepare to teach their first class.
She said that because of COVID, county activities were cut way back and 4-H is just now trying to get ramped back up.
