At a recent special called meeting, the Grant County Quorum Court approved an ordinance permitting the installation of solar panels on property recently leased by a developer.

According to the Sheridan Headlight newspaper, Sebastian Luz of Galehead Development LLC said the company had leased 1,000 acres from Warehouser which will house solar panels Patrick Duffy of Treaty Oak Clean Energy LLC.

The project is expected to be completed in 2025 and Luz estimated the construction will cost $200 million, adding that it will “produce a lot of jobs.”
