Grant County Judge Randy Pruitt updated members of the Quorum Court on infrastructure projects during the most recent meeting of the county’s legislative body.

According to the Sheridan Headlight newspaper, the judge said the new County Annex is on track for a tentative opening Aug. 1 and he encouraged the justices to visit the location. Currently the focus is parking lot construction.

A bridge has been placed across Cox Creek at Leola and the county has received reimbursement for this project,

Relocating the solid waste facility has begun and Pruitt said the public can see visible progress at both the current and new locations. The current solid waste site is owned by the City of Sheridan.
