UPDATE 8:50 PM: Arkansas Forestry Commission personnel have informed Deltaplex News that approximately 500 acres have been burned by this fire. No homes or other structures have been lost in the fire.
Kilcrease Road continues to be the only road that has been evacuated and no further evacuations are expected according to the Forestry Commission.
UPDATE 7:28 PM: Greg Bolin has informed Deltaplex News that any residents with horses that need to be evacuated can be taken to Hestand Stadium for safe keeping.

UPDATE 6:35 PM: Fire officials tell Deltaplex News that they are asking residents along Kilcrease Road to evacuate due to unsafe conditions.

ORIGINAL STORY
The Highway 15 Fire Department, numerous other departments, and the Arkansas Forestry Commission are fighting a large forest fire in the area of Old Warren Road/Highway 133 and Highway 54 in Jefferson County.
Area residents have contacted Deltaplex News saying they are actively preparing to evacuate the area if required. Deltaplex News has not been informed of any mandatory evacuations at this time.
Sources tell Deltaplex News that strong winds are hurting efforts to fight the fire and that the fire is headed in the direction of Kilcrease Road.
