Using the art of jazz, UAM Jazz One exposes minds to the freedom and joy of music. We welcome all UAM students, faculty, staff, and the surrounding community to come out and enjoy listening to this group of talented and award-winning musicians under the exciting direction of UAM’s Director of Jazz Studies, Dr. Kevin Bryson.
UAM Jazz One is the University of Arkansas at Monticello’s premier jazz ensemble! UAM Jazz One performed at the 2021 Midwest Clinic International Band, Orchestra, and Music Conference in Chicago on December 16, 2021. UAM Jazz One performed for approximately 3,000 people and was one of only three college jazz bands selected to perform at the international conference. This semester, UAM Jazz One will be performing various scores from popular video games, including Mario 64, Mario Kart, Portal, Minecraft, Undertale, and Five Nights at Freddy’s.
