Remembrance of the Battle of Arkansas Post
This is a FREE park event and will be held on Saturday January 17, 2026.
Join us in remembering the Civil War Battle that occurred at Arkansas Post on January 9-11, 1863.
The Day’s Events Include:
10:00 AM: A talk on Ironclad Ships and soldiers in the 1863 battle.
11:00 AM: Reenactors will portray the battle from a Union and
Confederate perspective. Followed by: An American Flag retirement
in an outdoor campfire (weather permitting).
