It’s a Pine Cone Science STEM Experiment for teens in Altheimer on Thursday. A “pine cone experiment” demonstrates how pine cones open and close in response to moisture. You can observe this by placing pinecones in water, which causes their scales to swell and close, or by drying them, which causes the scales to open. That’s Thursday at 5pm at the Altheimer library.
