Reception: 39th Annual “Small Works on Paper” Exhibition — 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 8
The ARTx3 Campus is proud to host the opening reception for the 39th annual “Small Works on Paper” exhibition, from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, at The Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas (ASC), 701 S. Main St. The event is free, and refreshments will be available. The reception includes artist talks.
The traveling exhibition, organized and sponsored by the Arkansas Arts Council, is on view Jan. 6-22, in ASC’s William M. Kennedy Jr. Gallery. “Small Works on Paper” showcases two-dimensional artwork no larger than 18-by-24 inches, and spotlights members of the Arkansas Artist Registry.
This year’s exhibition features work by 40 artists, and will travel to 10 venues throughout the state in this yearlong show. This year’s entries were juried by Kelli Scott Kelley, an artist and professor of painting at Louisiana State University.
