Start Your Day The Movie Way: “Over the Hedge” — 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 18

The ARTx3 Campus will host a screening of the DreamWorks animated film “Over the Hedge” from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 18, in the Catherine M. Bellamy Theater at The Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas, 701 S. Main St.

As the animals venture into the neighborhood, they encounter both opportunities (easy access to junk food) and dangers (humans, pets and exterminators). Along the way, they learn important lessons about teamwork, trust, and the difference between natural living and human influence.

The event is free, but registration is required. Register for both the screening and the Saturday Family FunDay event that follows at artx3.org/all-events/movie-over-the-hedge. The event is sponsored by Simmons First Foundation.

Saturday Family FunDay: Over the Hedgehog  — 1-3 p.m. Saturday, April 18

The ARTx3 Campus invites all ages to its next Saturday Family FunDay, from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, April 18, at The Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas, 701 S. Main St. The event is free.

Participants can create a cute hedgehog using their own handprint. Kids will trace, cut, and assemble their hands to form spiky backs, then add details with simple craft supplies. The activity follows the screening of the animated film “Over the Hedge.” Register at artx3.org/all-events/family-funday-april-2026

Saturday Family FunDay offers monthly hands-on arts and science activities in which visitors create art, complete science projects, or perform dance, music or theater. The Ben J. Altheimer Charitable Foundation and the Pine Bluff Area Community Foundation sponsor the event.
