McGehee has a free Life Skills Program for teens!
This program is held the 1st & 3rd Wednesday of each month, beginning in September (excluding holidays we are closed) and will be from 4:00-5:00 P.M.!
You do not have to attend every program if you sign up! This is just something we would like to offer the teens in our community. There are so many simple life skills that are CRUCIAL for young adults to possess.
How do I go about opening a bank account? What about buying my first car? Filing taxes? How do I budget so that I can make sure my bills are paid and I still have money left over? Uh oh, I’m stuck on the side of the road with a flat tire and no cell service- what do I do??
These are ALL questions EVERY SINGLE ADULT has to figure out as they move out on their own into the world. These are questions you have NO WAY to know the answer to unless you have been taught. Questions you don’t want to learn the answer to while going through the stress of every day life. Join our program so we can help you to prepare for adulthood! It is so much easier to navigate life on your own as an adult if you already know some of the basics!!
