In response to the growing issue of food insufficiency in the community and thanks to generous donations and assistance from Kohler Company and Ace Hardware, the City of Sheridan is excited to announce that we will now have a community garden!
The garden will be located near the soccer fields and concession stand at the Sheridan Parks & Recreations Sports Complex. We will be using this year as an opportunity to learn and adapt this to fit our community’s needs. We will have 10 garden beds in total. Some of these we will have available for reservation for people to come and plant their own plants that they will be able to tend to and harvest. The other beds will be planted and available as a resource to the community so that people who would like to can go and pick produce with all remaining produce being donated to our local food pantry to be dispersed to those in need.

On Friday, May 17th around 11am we will be doing the planting and would love to have members of the community come join in to help! We would also love to know what kind of produce you would like to see us plant. #SheridanAR
