The Pine Bluff Police Department is currently investigating an incident that left one person dead. On Thursday, October 3, 2019 around 7:45 a.m., a call came in stating a wrong doing had occurred by Daniel Jones that involved a woman. This started a search for the woman and her vehicle. Officers then found a vehicle returning to the woman on the Martha Mitchell Overpass. While searching the area, officers located the body of a white female lying in a grassy area under the overpass.
Daniel Jones is actively being searched for as the suspect. Jones is a balding 43 year old white male that is 6’3 and 245 lbs. He was last seen wearing a blue shirt and blue jeans. The female’s identity is being withheld pending next of kin is notified. This is the city’s 24th homicide.
