The Arkansas State Police will help enforce Governor Asa Hutchinson’s social distancing orders. The orders include a ban on gatherings of more than 10 people in any confined indoor or outdoor space, with exceptions for business, places of worship, and government entities.
Colonel Bill Bryant of the Arkansas State Police said the majority of Arkansans are voluntarily complying with the orders, and also noted that some people have violated the directives, and that enforcement action will be taken against them.
Bryant said that the Arkansas State Police will stand ready to assist any police department or sheriff’s department in the state.
If Arkansans witness social distancing violations, they can call the Department of Health hotline at 1-800-803-7847.
