A $2,500 secured bond was set for a Pine Bluff woman accused of shoplifting from Walmart.
Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge 30-year-old Kionne Dean with 2nd offense Theft of Property.
Reading from an affidavit by Detective Jesse Horton, the Prosecuting Attorney said on July 18th, Horton was working as part-time security at Walmart when the Asset Protection investigator alerted him to a woman, later identified as Dean, who had been allegedly seen concealing unpaid merchandise in her purse and on her person before leaving the store without paying.
Staff observed her actions through the surveillance system.
Horton contacted his team outside the store who apprehended her and discovered $252.80 worth of merchandise.
She’s previously been convicted of shoplifting in December 2017.
Dean is scheduled to return to court on September 14th.
