1971-2026
Anthony (Tony) Charles Douglas Sr, passed away peacefully on July 4th, 2026, at St. Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock, AR.
Born on February 23rd, 1971, at home in Wilmar, Arkansas. He was the third beloved son born to the late Otis Less Douglas and Carolyn Sue Douglas. He grew up in Wilmar, and as a teen, he began working at a tree logging company to help provide for his mother and younger brother.
Tony graduated from Wilmar High School in 1987. After graduation, he enlisted in the military and was later honorably discharged. Shortly after losing his mother, Tony left Arkansas for Spokane, Washington, to start anew, where he met his second wife, Michi Jenkins, in 2000.
He became a beloved stepfather, and eventually they were blessed with two children. Tony had a deep love for the outdoors and found great joy doing his favorite hobbies, such as working on cars and cooking on the grill while listening to his favorite music. He loved to spend time with his loved ones. He possessed many skills, including construction, and he eventually started a business named Douglas Flooring.
After an injury, he worked as a Sandblaster for Rahco for several years. Following this, he continued to apply his many skills through various side jobs, always staying busy and lending his expertise whenever it was needed. In 2015, Tony returned home to his family in Arkansas and met his loving wife, Annie Douglas, whom he cherished and spent the rest of his time with.
Tony possessed a heart of gold; a warmth he freely extended to anyone he met. He was a natural social butterfly, effortlessly connecting with people and making every room he entered feel a little brighter. While he may have departed, his spirit remains, forever watching over us and showering us with love from above.
Tony is survived by his wife Annie Douglas of Monticello AR; children Jesse Johns of Monticello AR; Xavier Jenkins (Chrissy), Carolyn Douglas, Anthony Charles Douglas, Jr.; grandchild Xander Jenkins of NC; his brothers Michael Douglas (Tonya), James Douglas (Crystal) of Wilmar AR, Rashad Harper of Spokane WA; nephews Franciscus Bell, Christopher Douglas, Jesse Douglas, Isiah Douglas, Jacob Douglas, Jace Douglas of Spokane WA; nieces Cherish Douglas and Treslynn Douglas of Wilmar AR; several aunts, uncle, and cousins; and a special friend he considered as a sister and bonus daughter and grandkids he loved dearly.
A celebration of his life will be on July 18th, 2026, at 12:00 pm followed by a gathering and potluck at Wilmar Community Center located at Highway 278 West, Wilmar, AR.
