Mackie Leo Tidwell, 81
1945-2026

Mackie Leo Tidwell was born on March 26, 1945, to the late Louis and Leotha Tidwell. He accepted Christ at an early age and carried his faith throughout his life. Mackie graduated from Southeast High School as a member of the Class of 1963 and later began a career with the Cotton Belt Railroad and the Arkansas Department of Corrections before retirement. Mackie was a vibrant soul and a jokester with a wonderful sense of humor who never met a stranger. Wherever he went, friendships were formed, and lives were touched by his warm spirit, kind heart,and welcoming personality. He had a unique gift for making people feel valued and appreciated, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he encountered.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Leotha Tidwell; his son, Bryan Tidwell; and his siblings, L.G. Tidwell, Virgil Tidwell, Georgia Woods, Henry Tidwell, Ruthie Hill, Ora Royster, Betty Byard, Ollie Tidwell, and Freddy Tidwell.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories his daughters: Cynthia Tidwell, Demetrice Tucker, and Shellie Tidwell all of Arkansas; a special daughter-in-love, Morticia Ceasar of Louisiana; his sisters, Essie Jenkins and Louise Randall (Jon); and a host of loving family and friends.

He is lovingly remembered by his eight grandchildren: Tamara Tidwell Gee, Nakea Jenkins, LaKeisha DeCosta, Jarius Morris, Camry Garner Adams (Brandon), Bryan Tidwell Jr. (Lucretia), Jorden Warren, and Sha'Kobe Tidwell.

He also leaves behind eleven great-grandchildren Along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends, Mackie leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, friendship, and cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Funeral Services will be 12:00 noon on Thursday, July 2, 2026 at New Community Church with Pastor Anthony Nero officiating. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens by Paradise Funeral Home of Pine Bluff.

Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. - 11:45am on Thursday, July 2, 2026 at the Church.
