Jatez Elmar Reeves, 31
1995-2026

Jatez Elmar Reeves, also known as “Tez” and “Bird Dog Tez,” entered into eternal rest on June 3, 2026, at the age of 31. Born on April 9, 1995, in Stuttgart, Arkansas, he was the beloved son of Elma and Jennifer Reeves and a proud graduate of Stuttgart High School, Class of 2013.

To know Tez was to love him. He was the kind of person whose smile could light up a room and whose laughter was contagious. He never met a stranger and had the ability to make everyone feel like family. Whether he had known someone for years or had just met them, Tez welcomed people with open arms, a warm heart, and a joke that would leave them laughing.

Tez was truly the life of every occasion. He loved to laugh, loved to dance, and loved bringing joy to those around him. His personality was larger than life, and he was passionate about anything he believed in, yet his heart was even bigger. He was forgiving, genuine, respectful, and never missed an opportunity to tell the people he cared about, “I love you.” Those words were not just something he said—they were something he lived.

A true outdoorsman from the very beginning, Tez found peace and happiness in nature. Hunting and fishing were more than hobbies; they were a way of life. Whether he was hunting deer, turkey, rabbit, squirrel, or spending long days on the fishing bank, he was always happiest outdoors. He especially enjoyed introducing others to hunting and fishing, sharing his knowledge and passion with anyone willing to learn. Some of his greatest memories were made in the woods, on the water, and in the company of family and friends.

Tez was also a devoted employee of Riceland Foods, where he worked hard and built lasting friendships. He had a deep appreciation for music and could enjoy just about any genre. He was curious by nature, with a love for history and science, and could often be found sharing stories, facts, and conversations with those around him.

More than anything, Tez loved his family. He shared a special bond with his parents, sisters, and countless relatives and friends. He was a loving son, a protective brother, and a loyal friend. He treasured every moment spent with those he loved and leaves behind a legacy of unforgettable memories.

Jatez was preceded in death by his grandmother, Irene Reeves; his grandfathers, Andrew Reeves and Nufice Williams, Sr.; and many special aunts, uncles, family members, and friends.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving parents, Elma and Jennifer Reeves; his sisters, Jalisa Sloan and Jamilya Reeves; his special friend, Ebony Webb; and the three children he loved dearly, Kayleen, Kayden, and Kayson. He also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and countless friends whose lives were forever changed by his presence.
