Ruby Jean Williams, 88 of McGehee Arkansas received her wings on Saturday June 6, 2026.
She was born Ruby Jean Morgan on October 30, 1937 to Richard Morgan Sr. and Elizabeth Morgan in McGehee Arkansas. McGehee was her hometown for her entire life. She was a member of St. Andrew MB Church in the Wolfe Project community and Ed Lee Allen Sr. was her pastor.
Ruby gave her life to Christ as a young girl and serving God was the foundation of her existence. She sang in choir and other gospel groups over the years and often sang solos at different churches. She worked as a cook for many years and was employed by Alonzo’s Snack Bar, Dixie Dandy deli and Cash’s Quik Check back in the day.
She loved her family with her whole heart. Her children are Lenora Smith, Lillie Ann Gray and Jo Ann Williams of McGehee AR, Hedy Watkins & Carolyn Williams of The Colony, Tx, Brenda Collins of Shawnee Mission, KS and one son Hayward Williams Jr. of McGehee AR who proceeded her in death. She leaves 10 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren that lovingly calls her Gran and Granniruby.
