1943-2026
Behind every good man is an even better woman. Kathryn followed her husband, Don, to meet their Savior on May 21, 2026, completing a lifelong journey of faith, devotion, and love.
Born in Sheridan, Arkansas, on July 24, 1943, Kathryn lived a life marked by notable faith and humility. She served the Lord faithfully through her church, her community, and every relationship she touched. Her heart was rooted in humble service; she never sought attention or praise, and everything she did was done as though she were working for her Lord.
Her children and grandchildren fondly remember the countless ways she cared for them — teaching them to cook and sew, keeping everything spotless from shoes to baby‑doll fingers and toes, and always being there with an after‑school snack. No one ever went hungry in her presence, and somehow she could make even the simplest sandwich taste extraordinary.
She brought that same meticulous, scrupulous attention to detail to the family business, where her hands and sharp mind kept everything running smoothly. And though she disliked frogs and lizards, she was full of forgiveness in all circumstances.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Don Bell; brother and sister-in-law, Marvin and Linda Stubbs; sisters, Gladys Kyzer (Charles) and Henrietta Bustamante.
She is survived by sons, Denton Bell (Rhonda) of Sheridan, Daren Bell (Haley) of Conway; daughter, Donnita Bell Tubbs (Donald) of Sheridan; brother-in-law, Hugo Bustamante of Benton; 6 grandchildren, Layton Bell (Courtani), Loren Bell, Declan Bell, Katie Grace Tubbs, Sawyer Tubbs and Ryder Tubbs, and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews. The family would like thank her caregivers: Judy Byars, Cheryl Brown and Mary Carder.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with Bro. Michael Walton officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time. Burial will follow at Lost Creek Cemetery in Sheridan.
Proverbs 31:25–26 She is clothed with strength and dignity… and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.”
