Eva Fern Ault Pickering, 96, of Jefferson, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2026. She was born June 4, 1929 in Hot Springs to Ethero Ault and Bertha Speer Ault.
Eva was raised in Desha County on her family’s land supporting themselves during the depression. She married George Ray Pickering August 19, 1951. Eva worked at Ben Pearson Archery for 37 years until her retirement. She was a member of the Methodist Faith and loved to sew, tend to her plants, and being outside.
Survivors include her children, Jimmy Ray Pickering, Joe Leonard Pickering, Deborah Kay Pickering and Robert Wayne Pickering; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and brothers, Russell Ault and William Ault.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, George Ray Pickering, who passed away March 18, 2023; sisters, Cora Lee Rogers, Faye Walker and June Peacock; and brother, Steve Ault.
Graveside service will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, May 28, 2026 at Graceland Cemetery.
