Charles Ray Jones, 73

Mr. Charles Ray Jones was born February 27, 1953 in Palestine, Arkansas to the late George Jones, Sr. and Rosie Lee Johnson-Jones. He was lovingly raised there by the late Clover and Annie Lee Simmons. Charles attended public school in Palestine and accepted Christ at an early age at William Temple Church of God in Christ.

Shortly thereafter, he married Joyce Hayes, and to this union five children were born. Charles began his working career at Barfield Industrial in Blytheville, Arkansas. After relocating to Stuttgart, Arkansas, he worked for many years at Hartz Seed Company. Later in life, he married the late Flora Jones. Charles was eventually employed at Producers Rice Mill, where he faithfully worked until his retirement.

Charles rededicated his life to Christ at Mount Calvary Church of God in Christ, where he faithfully served as a deacon under the leadership of Elder Frederick Jeffery and willingly assisted wherever needed. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, loved fishing, and most of all, loved to talk.
