Clarence Hurst, Jr., 83 of Dumas, Arkansas passed away May 12, 2026. He was born on October 22, 1942, in Rison, Arkansas, the son of the late Clarence Hurst, Sr. and Amy Hurst. His parents, one son Mark Hurst, brother Buddy and sisters, Mary, Francis, Sally and Willie May, all preceded him in death.
Clarence was a member of First Baptist Church in Dumas, Master Mason and member of lodge #547 and also member of Garrett Bridge Hunting Club. He enjoyed the outdoors. Clarence loved to hunt and fish for his past time. He retired from Pine Bluff Arsenal after many years and served in the United State Air Force for 6 years.
Survivors are his wife Linda Hurst of Dumas, Arkansas, son Mike (Lynley) Hurst of Grady, Arkansas, and brother Cecil (Deloris) Hurst of Folsom, Louisiana, three grandchildren; Kennon and Spencer Hurst and Hannah Powell (Zach) Irons and two great grandchildren; John Sawyer Irons and Colson Creed Irons.
Visitation and funeral service at Griffin Funeral Home on Friday, May 15, 2026. Visitation from 9:30am-10:30am and services at 10:30am with Rev. Steven Tiner and Rev. Doug Alllen officiating followed by burial in Tyro Cemetery. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 200 East Waterman, Dumas, Arkansas 71639.
