1935-2026
Toni Charlene Archer, age 90, of White Hall, passed away Saturday, May 9, 2026.
Born August 18, 1935 in Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late J. B. Glover and Eula Brown Glover. She graduated from Pine Bluff High School in 1953. Toni had lived in several places during her life, including Wright/Plum Bayou, then to Watson Chapel, and finally settled in White Hall in 1979.
She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She began her career in education as the secretary to the superintendent of the Plum Bayou School District. In 1977, she went to work in the White Hall School District working in the areas of bookkeeping, Director of Food Services, and transportation/maintenance, where she retired as executive assistant.
She married Otis “Doc” Archer on December 31, 1961, and he preceded her in death on June 15, 1992. Also predeceasing her are a brother, Harold Glover (Rosie); sisters, Jackie Monk (J. W.), and Billie Corinne Glover; and a brother-in-law, Pete Phelps.
Toni was deeply rooted in her faith and loved spending her days at Bible study or enjoying outings with friends. She loved her family fiercely, and her favorite titles were “Mom” and “Gram.” She was always up for a sweet treat, an hours-long game of Monopoly, a Western show on TV, or a long conversation with family and friends—moments that often led to her sharing the Gospel.
Survivors include her son, Kevin Archer; two grandchildren, Michael Archer (Caroline) and Tayhlor McVey (Drew); and a sister, Stella Phelps.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, May 14, 2026, 10:00 a.m. in Good Faith Cemetery with Brother Steve Monk officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 1214 Robin Road, White Hall, AR 71602.
